4-13-09 - Cruising

First day I was able to use my cool new toy from Christmas. Take a look at me cruising for the ladies in front of my house.

Just starting my cruising adventure....

Who is that pretty lady- Oh it is just my mom... Let's keep cruising....

My cruising days are over today. I want to go inside and watch some TV.

Let's see what is on the tube... Oh one of my favorites "Classical Baby - Dance"

I had a pretty busy day today with my cruising and TV watching this is how I fell asleep in my crib.

4-12-09 Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I saw the Easter Bunny the other day. I took my picture with him and sent it around to the family. Here is my picture with the Easter Bunny in my nice clothes. We spent most of the day at Grandpa and Grandma Marino’s. We had a nice traditional Easter meal. I got some nice presents from the Easter Bunny. I even gave Toula a kiss as seen here.

Grandma and Grandpa's dog Toula loves to give me kisses.

4-7-09 Admitted back into the hospital

Today I went to the hospital to get my PD catheter dressing changed and flushed and got admitted to the hospital. They thought that formula might be leaking from my g-j tube into my PD catheter. They did some tests the next day that proved negative. So the doctors are dumbfounded once again. Daddy says I have Frankenstein Syndrome i.e. a little bit of that, a little bit of this, and so on.

3-31-09 Daddy Fired Today

Dad got fired from work today. I am glad because now he can spend more time with me. I miss him every time he leaves for work.

3-20-09 - Surgery Day

Today I got my stomach wrap, peritoneal dialysis (PD) catheter, and g-j tube replaced during my seventh surgery. I still have a lot more surgeries to do, including the big one i.e. kidney transplant. I came home just a couple of days later. I am a tough little bugger.

3-16-09 Grandpa Troxtel in the Hospital

Grandpa Troxtel is very sick and needed brain surgery to make him feel better. He is in Chicago and my daddy drove 5 hours to see him. His surgery was very successful and he came through with flying colors. I prayed really hard that he would be ok. I miss him and wish I could see him more often.

3-8-09 to 3-12-09 Mommy's First Business Trip

Mommy has flown to Las Vegas for business so me and daddy are partying all week long. Just kidding. I missed her very much while she was gone as did daddy. She took my friend Professor Spike to Fatburger in Las Vegas. Here is a picture of them eating at the restaurant.

2-28-09 "House for Sale"

Mommy and daddy put our house back on the market for sale. I am looking forward to moving into a bigger and nicer home. Although I will miss this one since it was my first house that I ever lived in.

2-21-09 No, No, No

Even though I was born early and I lag behind many of the other kids my age I am making very good progress towards my goals. I have been doing really well with my exercises. I am starting to say no by shaking my head. Here are a couple of videos. My parents laugh every time I do it. I also put my hands in paint to make some artwork with my hands. Here is a picture of that.

My first non verbal response.

Every year on my birthday mom and dad are going to have me put different color paint on my hands and put it on this large canvas with the date to show how much I have grown that year.

This is what I really thought about that idea on my 1st birthday.

2-14-09 Happy Valentines Day

Today is Valentines Day and it also happens to be Grandpa Marino’s birthday. Me, mommy, daddy and grandpa and grandma Marino spent the last evening at Tomatoes eating pizza. I had daddy buy some flowers for mommy for Valentines Day. Also our new weekend nurse Amy started today. She is really nice and I like her a lot.

Take a look at me in my shirt that my nurse Stacie bought me for Valentines Day.

2-7-09 More Surgeries

The doctors finally determined that Aidan needs to get dialysis and a stomach wrap. The dialysis will help prevent the build up of toxins in his body and the stomach wrap will help prevent the vomiting that is associated with his GERD. We were going to have his testicles pulled down from his abdomen because they have never descended. However, we were later told that it would be a more complicated procedure and we will need to delay it for a few moths.

2-3-09 ENT Follow-Up

Daddy had a bad experience with the ENT doctor today. After waiting for over 1 hour the doctor finally showed up to see me. Although my daddy says he did not even look at me and was talking about all kinds of extreme measures to prevent my aspiration pneumonias from reoccurring. After a 45 minute consultation mostly with the nurse my daddy then had to wait for another hour just to check out. He was not a happy camper.
